My view

I am happy that Apple works to make their devices look so pleasant. I spend too much time looking at this on a daily basis.

A simple project made difficult.

So my son was asked in class what he wanted to be when he grew up and he responded ” I want to be a director ” . Miles saw a special on TV that showed George Lucas directing one of the Star Wars movies and was completely fascinated by the process. The next day in class they told everyone that they had an assignment for career day related to the question. They were told in two weeks they wanted the class to come dressed as the profession they wanted to be in. They were then asked to have a description of the task they would be preforming in the profession prepared to present infront of the school. Sounds easy huh?

Remember the Napster days of yore? Napster was the first chance many of us had to get our hands dirty trying a new crime – music piracy. Come to think of it, cyber-crime might be a more appropriate word, but at that point it was a word as under the radar as cyber-criminals. Record companies, however, didn’t seem as thrilled as consumer America with the inundation of “free” music. In July of 2001 Napster was forced to shut down. I recall being genuinely confused to learn that digital content could even be legislated. The term “digital rights management” was born and integrated into music everywhere, and a whole slew of new copyright laws were rushed into effect.

A New Year with resolutions

Another year has come and as I sat down to write this blog post for the New Year I was thinking how can I articulate my hopes and resolutions for this year. How I can inspire those who come in contact with every day. I came across a post on another blog from one of my clients and thought I could not put it any better. Anyway that I try to word it I will try to say the same thing just not as well. So I figured I would let her say it. So thanks Corrie.

It is that time of the year again where we all lay out what we are going to change about ourselves. Whether it be loosing weight, getting better with remembering name (this is my personal one), or many other great ones that will no doubt lead to being what we consider a better person. Unfortunately, probably as in years past, things will go good for about the first few weeks, and then the insanity of everyday life takes over and gradually most of the well intentioned resolutions wind up at the bottom of a very long “to do” list.
